HIJACK 2023 – EVENT INFORMATION

We look forward to welcoming you to our 2024 Krav Maga – Hijack. This full-day event consists of a short lecture and various training sessions in and outside of the aircraft. A buffet lunch is provided, along with bottled water and event T-shirts are available to pre-order for collection at the event. This is a full day of training, so come prepared to get the most out of it by reading all the information below carefully.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Our annual international ‘Krav Maga Air Safety & Disruptive Passenger’ event is the only one of its kind within the civilian Krav Maga community. Led by Nick Maison who trained alongside heads of security from various well-known international airlines, on an 8-day Civil Aviation Authority course, and Jose Silva ex-Combat Search & Rescue team member from the Portuguese Air Force and an active close protection officer.

This full-day workshop takes you inside a decommissioned aircraft fitted with special effects, functioning electrical and media systems, to experience what it’s like to be inside a hijack situation. You will understand how to avoid being the focus of attention, which could lead to you being singled out for hostage negotiation, interrogation, or worse.

We also look at ways to diffuse simple arguments with other passengers who may be under stress from fear of flying, under the influence of drugs, or too much alcohol.

In some cases, you will be able to assist the aircrew with 3rd party defences.

You will get the chance to experience using your Krav Maga training and techniques for self-defence in a confined space, with restrictions such as your seatbelt, reduced legroom and small aisles to negotiate.

If you do not use the code then you will be charged shipping and your order will be sent on 10th of October, following the event.

Event Pricing (includes all training, Lunch buffet, bottled water throughout the day )

First Class: £99.99 until 30th June 2024.

Business Class: £115.00 until 31st July 2024.

Economy Class: £130.00 until 31st August 2024. 

Due to the nature of this event, seats are limited. We recommend that participants book early.

No refunds will be given, no cancellations accepted and no transfers to future events will be offered after 23rd September 2024. Booking for this event will close at midday on Monday 30th September, to allow enough time for names to be forwarded to airport security.

Please ensure you have adequate personal accident insurance/ Krav Maga insurance/ martial arts association insurance, and indemnity insurance in case of damage to the aircraft or other passengers during the training. All KMG UK students must provide their KMG licence number with their event registration.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Please book this event using an email address that you monitor on a regular basis.
  • You will be sent a booking confirmation shortly after completing the online payment. Check your Junk /SPAM or Promotions folders for your booking confirmation, if you don’t receive it in your regular email inbox within 48 hours of booking.
  • You MUST bring your booking confirmation and photo ID for check-in at 0900 on the day of the event. (KMG Licence for UK Participants or National Passport for overseas participants). You will then receive your boarding pass at check-in.
  • Please read your booking confirmation carefully and adhere to the information regarding clothing and arrival time for this event. Once the departure gate closes you will not be able to check in or board the aircraft.
  • We will not refund late arrivals or early departures for any part(s) of the event.
  • Please be aware that once the event starts, we will not be able to take calls. Once the aircraft doors are closed all instructor phones will either be switched off or in ‘flight safe’ mode.
  • We are unable to give refunds or transfer you to another event after midday on the 30th of September 2024, due to the high cost of organising this event. If you are unable to attend this event at short notice, please try to re-sell your ticket and inform us ASAP about the change of name(s), so we can update the airport security.
  • Passengers are not permitted to carry phones, recording devices, or electronic items during the flight. You will be searched prior to boarding.
