On The 13th of June we have celebrated our first anniversary, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the No Fear Academy students for the great support along the last 12 months. Yesterday we had a brilliant day at the Jamie G sports fair in Andover; during the day we had a good feedback from our continuous techniques displays, which took place during all day on our stand.
People couldn’t believe how easy and logical Krav Maga is, we had around 50 kids willing to learn some techniques.
After little games to put them comfortable with me I show them really basic techniques of releasing from a shirt grab, children’s and parents couldn’t believe how easy it was.
By the time we had our main display at the central demonstration are Jamie was pretty busy at our stand with more that 20 people around him just to learn more about Krav Maga and join us on our next class.
It was 1:40 and it was our turn to demonstrate what we can do, we have started with a brief explanation of Krav Maga and KMG origins, 2 of our girls started walking around on normal civilian clothes until two bad guys came with a violent attack by pulling their hairs and kicking them to the floor.
People couldn’t understand what type of self defence it was this has both of the girls just got beaten up, the scenario was reset but this time both girls were wearing No Fear Academy shirts with a KMG logo on their sleeves, an soon has the hair grabs came in the girls released their skills were one of the girls quick stunned the attacker by striking the groin and face, when she was prepared to run away she noticed that her friend was in trouble has the attacker still grabbing her, bad luck, now it wasn’t just one girl but two hitting this attacker. All we could hear from the public was “WOW”.
We then proceed with an extensive range of defence techniques and distances which included full nelson release, releases from ground attacks, guillotines, chokes, etc. the crowd was focus on every single movement performed by our students.
At the end when I was explaining where people could join us and our training locations I was attacked by 3 guys, this attacks started with punches, hooks, tentative of throwing me on the floor, rear naked chokes, knife threats and attacks, stick attacks from various highs and directions, stomping kicks, gun point, etc.
Our demo was finished and everybody was pleased with what they just seen.
Back to the stand were Jamie and other members handing flyers and answering questions to all the people that started flooding our stand.
